Crista and Anirudh absolutely couldn’t wait to be married to one another. Engaged during the height of covid, they planned to have a big celebration with all of their family and friends once the pandemic restrictions were lifted, but with both working in the medical field, it was so, so important to them to make sure their guests’ safety was always a top priority and not to rush a big social gathering.

They reached out to me with the idea to host a cozy celebration in their home with only fifteen of their immediate family and dearest friends – and I absolutely fell in love with the idea! They still wanted the day to feel like a wedding, but with a focus on the two of them being able to enjoy the day in each other’s company, and indulge in as many special moments together as possible – definitely my kind of couple!

The day began with Crista and Anirudh signing their legal paperwork first thing in the morning. Then, we truly kicked off the day! We started the morning with Crista having her hair and makeup done; followed by an intimate first look in the park across the street from the couple’s home (accompanied by their adorable yellow lab, Fred, of course!) Then, we sent the to-be-weds out for a lovely wedding day lunch date, while we prepared their home to host their ceremony and celebration!

That evening, their families watched a beautiful ceremony with elements of hindu culture officiated by Crista and Anuirudh’s siblings. Then, they were invited to be seated at a beautifully decorated king’s style table, styled to the nines with the most warm and cozy boho-inspired florals and tablescapes. To honour the two families’ cultures coming together, the couple designed a customized menu for the entire evening, and treated their loved ones to a family style meal featuring Indian-fusion dishes.

Following dinner, Crista and Anirudh had their first dance as husband and wife right in the middle of their living room and it could not have been more of a perfect moment. They partied the night away with all of their most favourite people!
